Each year, prior to I-Day, the club hosts a Send-Off event for Appointees and their families. We have traditionally held this event at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA. 

The Send-Off provides an opportunity for Appointees to meet the other young men and women from Eastern Massachusetts whom they will join as Basic Cadets in just a few weeks.  Parents and siblings can meet fellow parents of their Appointees class as well as parents from the upper classes and graduates.  

Current cadets, home on leave, often attend the Send-Off and meet with the Appointees to share their insights on Basic Cadet Training and freshman year.
